I made this large screened receiving loop several years
ago.
It consists of 20 feet (6m) of coaxial cable strung
around an 8ft x 8ft wooden frame. There is about a 1 inch
gap cut in the coax screen at the top. The area enclosed
by the loop is 25 sq. ft. (2.32 sq. m). The loop is tuned
to 1.9Mhz with a small tuning capacitor (about 400pf)
mounted in a plastic box. See photo and schematic.

The method of connection has always seemed a bit strange
to me but it does seem to work ok.
